Ps4 Pro Lan Cable Keeps Disconnecting

My ps4 is hard wired and every so often it disconnects from the internet and says connect a lan cable and try again. Sometimes it just happens once and then not again for the rest of the day sometimes it happens twice or three times within 5 30 mins of each other. I m now 100 baffled as to why this is happening to my ps4.

I upgraded to the ps4 pro and my wifi kept dropping.

Ps4 pro lan cable keeps disconnecting. It has happened to my ps3 as well but not even once has it happened to my wii u or xbox 360. There is nothing wrong with the ethernet cable as ive tested it on other ps4 s and laptops etc and my internet is still running when this happens. Check port on router ps4 for dust. Bad ethernet cable or dust in the port.

My old ps4 worked great. The ps4 pro will have trouble detecting the optimal connection and will switch back and forth between them which will make you lose the connection. So you might try a more expensive cable and if that does not work you might try his fix build up the connector plastic a little bit so that it is held in more tightly. What the hell man.

So i extended a lan cat 5 cable to hardwire the ps4 pro from the router and i m still getting the intermittent lost connection message only now it reads my lan connection has been lost. At first i was using it wirelessly because i couldn t really be bothered laying a lan cable to my router and was accepting of slower speeds but it kept dropping connection. It usually happens 5 20 mins after i start using it for the first time. Every once in awhile when i play on ps4 the console will say the lan cable is disconnected. Even though it was only 10 feet away from the router.
